Following the announcement of Mortal Kombat 1 back in May, there’s been a steady stream of news and leaks from the game. The latest is thankfully the former: an official reveal of the first wave of Mortal Kombat 1 DLC, known as the Kombat Pack.
While we’re yet to have confirmation of all the Mortal Kombat 1 characters that will be in the game on day one, this news confirms six additions that will be added post-launch. Many fans are questioning the decision to reveal the Mortal Kombat 1 DLC before the base roster. However, with the amount of Mortal Kombat 1 leaks in the wild, who know what NetheRealm’s strategy is?

Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack DLC Characters
It’s not yet known when the Kombat Pack will launch for Mortal Kombat 1. However, the first character, The Boys‘ Homelander, is expected to launch in early 2024. Mortal Kombat 1 itself arrives in September 2023, so fans won’t have too long to wait. Subsequent DLC characters will surely be added throughout 2024.
Here’s the full, official line-up of Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack DLC characters:
- Homelander from The Boys
- Omni-Man from Invincible
- Peacemaker from DC Comics
- Quan Chi
- Ermac
- Takeda
Along with three guest characters, we can see three Mortal Kombat favourites added to the line-up. Ermac was predicted by many, as was Takeda. Quan Chi has appeared in a smattering of Mortal Kombat titles throughout the years, at one point being the series’ main antagonist. That includes Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub Zero. Oh dear.
