Frontier Developments’ real-time strategy game, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, is set to launch digitally tomorrow. However, early access is now open on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Here’s how to play Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin today!

In Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, players command one of four factions in tense and tactical battles. The Stormcast Eternals, Orruk Kruleboyz, Nighthaunt and the Disciples of Tzeentch are all ready to engage in tactical warfare. In the singleplayer campaign, players will be taken through a story co-written by acclaimed Black Library author Gav Thorpe. The Conquest Mode sees players take on single-player battles across a larger map, contending with modifiers such as increased movement speed or reduced squad vision. In Realms of Ruin’s 1v1 and 2v2 multiplayer, commanders will battle for domination of Victory Points.

In typical Warhammer fashion however, it’s not all about the fighting. Just as Realms of Ruin offers a new digital take on the tabletop game, so to does it for painting miniatures. Combatants from all four factions can be personalised in the Army Livery tool, using colours from the official Citadel paint collection. Players can create and save palettes for entire factions or individual units. These variations can then be used in a custom army in multiplayer or Conquest Mode.
