The Nintendo 64 classic, gamers on Xbox Game PassNintendo Switch Online or owners of Rare Replay can now get into some GoldenEye 007 action! However, for those who can’t remember how to tackle the many objectives of the single-player missions, we’ve prepared a GoldenEye 007 Walkthrough Guide: Train! This article will cover everything you need to know to complete the fourteenth level, Train, on Agent, Secret Agent and 00 Agent difficulties.

The Train level is essentially a basic corridor shooter. It’s pretty straight forward, with the exception of the hostage situation in the final car. This can be a real hassle on 00 Agent. Also, you’ll have a new toy to play with. You can find out more about this in the complete GoldenEye 007 Walkthrough Guide: Train below!

A: Destroy brake units
B: Rescue Natalya
C: Locate Janus secret base (Secret Agent, 00 Agent)
D: Crack Boris’ password (00 Agent)
E: Escape to safety

GoldenEye 007 Walkthrough Guide: Train

As you begin you’ll see a pile of boxes on your left. There’s a solider visible behind them. Throughout the first two cars guards are hiding behind boxes. Be ready when they pop up.

Playing on Agent difficulty will net you an RCP-90 hidden in a pile of crates on the left of a door. On Secret Agent or 00 Agent, this will be a Dostovei. The brake unit is a gray metal unit to the right of the door. It blows up when you shoot it, and there are six in total.

Open the first door, then the second. A guard will quickly fire on you, so take cover. After he’s been disposed of, take out the next guard. Continue in this manner until all of the Marines in the first half of the car are dead.

In the next car, there are two guards to be wary of. Walk around the corner and you’ll find another wall here. Use this as cover in the next shootout.

Once this car has been cleared of enemies, shoot the next brake unit.

Open the next door and shoot the enemy in front of you. Walk in and use the cover of the corner. There’s quite a few guards here. Once you’re sure they’ve all been eliminated head down the car. About halfway down you should hear the sound of a door opening. Run back the way you came shooting as you do, killing the guard that came out of the locked room.

Continue on your journey to the end of the car and destroy the next brake unit.

The process for the next car is similar to the previous one. As soon as you enter shoot the guard and duck behind the corner. Guards will start coming, this time in greater numbers. Kill them all.

Look on the right for a glass door. Open it, and head inside the little room. Soon, two guards will come running up the hall up towards you. Shoot them before they can shoot you. There is one final guard in this car at the very end.

Once all the guards have been eliminated, head back to the start of the car to find the brake unit.

This next car is difficult on 00 Agent difficulty. As soon as you open the door, be ready to shoot. The guard here has nice guns, and the next room requires you to aim your weapon as you open the door. There will either be a guard dressed in black at the far end of the room, or to the left.

Open the next door, then duck back and to the left. Use the wall as cover, and now several guards armed with ZMGs will head towards you. After the shootout, enter the next room for find a few regular guards.

The next hallway only has one enemy in it, along with a brake unit.

The following room only has one regular Janus Marine. Turn around and shoot the brake unit (Objective A: Completed).

Be ready for an ambush as the train stops. Two guards with ZMGs are going to come from behind the locked door. One of them will drop a key letting you beyond the door. Arm your best weapon and enter the locked room.

Here you’ll find Ourumov is right in the middle of the room with Natalya. On Secret Agent, you’ll need to aim carefully, but should have plenty of time (Objective B: Completed).

00 Agent difficulty, however, is more challenging. When you walk into the room, move over to the right
as far as you can. Then, walk forward until Trevelyan yells at you. Find Xenia in the background, the take your shot at Ourumov, then fire. After hitting him, immeidatley start shooting at Xenia.

She will eventually say, “Wait for me Alec, I’m hit!”

This gives you a more time to complete the level.

A one minute timer will start counting down. Equip your Watch Laser and run to the corner of the room. There is a small white square on the floor. You have to shoot the edges with your Watch Laser, which can be tricky at first, especially as you only have a limited supply of ammo. Once all the bolts are removed, the trapdoor will fall giving you an escape route.

If you are playing on Secret Agent or 00 Agent, you need Natalya to hack some stuff for you. Agents can simply jump out right now, and Natalya will follow.

GoldenEye 007 Walkthrough Guide: Train – Secret Agent & 00 Agent

Playing on Secret Agent? Wait until Natalya starts talking about finding out where they’re going, as soon as she says, “He’s in Cuba!”, (Objective C: Completed) you can escape.

00 Agent difficulty is a little more complicated. After Natalya finds the base, she has the crack Boris’ password. After more hacking, Natalya will get the password (Objective D: Completed). If you shot Xenia you’ll have time to do this. If you didn’t, you probably won’t.

As you exit, run alongside the train ignoring the guards firing from behind. The train will explode, and hopefully you can avoid that explosion and escape with Natalya (Objective E: Completed).
