April is a big month for console subscription services. Following last week’s eventual arrival of Ghostwire: Tokyo on Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation gamers are now getting a treat. Kena: Bridge of Spirits has today arrived on PlayStation Plus.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits is one of the most talked about adventures from an indie studio in recent years. The game is an action-adventure that combines compelling narrative with exploration, puzzle-solving, and fast-paced combat. Playing as titular Kena, a young Spirit Guide, players will need to restore balance to an ancient village in a once-thriving environment.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits debuted on PlayStation platforms on 21st September, 2021. The game went on to win several awards including Best Independent Game and Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards 2021.
The PlayStation Plus version of Kena: Bridge of Spirits includes the Anniversary DLC update that launched in September 2022. This features Charmstones, Spirit Guide Trials and new Kena Outfits. It also adds accessibility features and New Game+ mode, which allows players who’ve completed the game to restart Kena’s journey with all of their previously unlocked abilities, upgrades, outfits, Rot, etc, as well as redesigned and more challenging combat encounters.
Josh Grier, Chief Operating Officer at Ember Lab said: “Kena: Bridge of Spirits still means a great deal to us as our debut game. We’re really excited to welcome new players to take the journey with Kena through the spirit world, meet her Rot friends, and discover the mysteries and puzzles that world has to offer.”
Kena: Bridge of Spirits was famously created by a team of just 14 people. It has gone on to be a highlight of the PlayStation 5’s early software catalogue. The game is also available for PlayStation 4.
