Kasedo Games’ first Rise of Industry game was a hit city builder for the team in 2019. That game put in the role of an early 20th-century industrialist. Now the studio – in collaboration with developer SomaSim – has announced a sequel. This time around, Rise of Industry 2 throws you into the world of an 80s business tycoon.

Whether you’re a wannabe CEO or simply a casual industrialist, 1980s America is where you can make it big. It’s a time of rapid innovation, globalization and unprecedented profits, and you’re there to make the money flow.

With SomaSim now at the wheel, players will be able to look forward to new ideas and mechanics.

“We’re thrilled to be working on a game with an existing player-base and a devoted community such as Rise of Industry 2,” said Matt Viglione, Co-Founder of SomaSim. “Being big fans of this genre, we immediately saw ways that we could build on the success of the original and take it to a new level. We know players will have certain expectations of a sequel, and we’re excited to be able to meet those, while still bringing in a range of innovative new features for new and existing players alike.”

Serving up a fresh artistic style, players will be able to climb the business ladder across 15 unique scenarios in the all-new campaign mode. They’ll also have to learn to become a social tycoon, networking with CEOs of other companies to trade in materials and finished products, and get introductions to their powerful friends in the industry.

“Continuing our relationship with Kasedo Games also made this an easy decision for us to make”, adds Rob Zubek, Co-Founder of SomaSim. “This will be our third game working together following Project Highrise and City Gangsters and the relationship we’ve built over the last decade has been a great foundation for us to really hit the ground running.”

Rise of Industry 2 is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a launch date and price still to come.
